Inspirational Moments
In partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Sarnia-Lambton
Registration required
The Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery is pleased to partner with the Alzheimer Society of Sarnia-Lambton to offer Inspirational Moments; an art program for people with dementia and their care partner. Participants will visit the gallery for an afternoon of art discovery, fun and casual conversation about exhibitions and specific art works. Tours are followed by a hands-on art activity.
Redesigned every month and led by trained docents and instructors. No experience required. Curiosity encouraged.
To register or for more information, contact Vanessa Barnes at 519-332-4444.
“Art is a stimulant to our emotions and our memories, and we engage in some lively stories and discussions about our exhibitions. Most of the participants keep coming back for more, and the gallery looks forward to their visits: sharing the camaraderie, sharing our “home,” and sharing our thoughts. We are all winners on these days.” – Jane Bouchette (gallery volunteer)
