Summer RAAW Teen Workshops

FREE | Give what you can | Full session registration is required | Ages 14 - 18  

Random Acts of Art Workshop (RAAW) is a multi-day intensive workshop designed for teens interested in exploring art making. Led by practicing professional artists, RAAW is the perfect balance of instruction and experimentation. No experience necessary. Participants will have an independent lunch break. Bring a lunch or purchase a lunch downtown.

Photography with Sierra Rei Hart

July 6-8 | 11:00AM-4:00PM 

Calling all teens with a passion to create GREAT photography!

Come join us for a three-day crash course of photography basics that will empower you to create amazing photographic art.

Local award-winning photographer, Sierra Rei Hart will teach you how to use everyday items to hone your budding skills. Through challenges and games, she will help you see the world through a different lens. These sessions will explore composition, perspective, contemplative photography, lighting, editing and finally submitting your favourite masterpieces to the Take Your Shot: Teen Photo Contest hosted by the JNAAG in August.

Participants will have an independent lunch break. Bring a lunch or purchase a lunch downtown.

Poetry with Shelly Grace

July 20-22 | 12:00PM-3:00PM

Award winning spoken word artist Shelly Grace will share her passion for storytelling. Participants in this three-day program will be inspired to explore their own unique voice and story through creative language. The group will learn how to clearly and creatively communicate in this dynamic poetry and writing workshop culminating in a response to a piece from JNAAG’s permanent collection.

Participants will have an independent lunch break. Bring a lunch or purchase a lunch downtown.
